Amy Bennett

Amy Bennett was born in 1977 in Portland, Maine. Her work is of painting and her medium is oil painting. She has attended college at St. Edmunds Hall, Oxford University, University of Georgia Art School, and obtained a BFA from University of Hartford in 1999 and received a MFA from New York Academy of Ar. in 2002. She has also done some solo exhibitions and projects, along with group exhibitions.

I find this work interesting because her painting look like photography. They remind me of miniatures and I have come to find miniatures as a interest within photography. So this work of art is exciting to see, because I also have a interest in photorealism, which is why I was so interested in Chuck Close work as I had learned about him in history.
