Brian Russelburg
Profile: I have been taking pictures some 45 years since I purchased my first film camera in grade school. I built my first darkroom and taught myself how to develop film and process photo gelatin prints while still in my teenage years. After retiring from the Postal Service in 2009, I was accepted and achieved a Bachelors degree of Fine Arts from Herron School of Art and Design in May of 2013 and graduated with High Distinction. Although I graduated with a Photo Fine Arts degree I enjoy doing mixed media compositions and painting. In the summer of 2012 I created, organized and was curator of Reflected Light: A Midsummer Art Exhibition. That art exhibition showcased 52 artists from central Indiana and welcomed over 300 visitors for the Opening Ceremonies. There will be a Reflected Light 2013 in July. In April of 2013, I created, organized and was co curator of the Marion County High School Art Exhibition 2013 through the city of Indianapolis, and the Indianapolis City Parks Dept.
